So I was trying to make some space for my computer and for some reason I thought that deleting System32 was a good idea but even thought I couldn't delete most files because I needed permission , I still managed to delete some and then my computer started to bug out. At first , the bottom left windows icon would not work , the menu would not pop up and I also couldn't type on Cortana and then when I opened my files, there was no text at all and I tried resetting my computer but it would always give me a error around 50% , and I read that updating my computer would let me reset it but when I tried updating my computer I had a "Your device is missing important security and quality fixes" error . I also cannot open up cmd to run a "sfc /scanow" If anybody knows how I can reset my computer or restore my files, I would appreciate it.

    :)

  2. 3D Mark 06 wont run!!!

    Here is the fix:

Locate the file named Direcpll.dll using this folder path:
    C:\Windows\System32\Futuremark\MSC\

Next rename or delete the file. I have been using XXXDirecpll.dll

Close the window, restart your computer and now you can run 3DMark 05 and PCMark 05.

p.s. BTW, he was asking about 06 not Vantage.

This basicly tells you where the bad files are so what i would now do.

Make sure system restore is turned of because this keeps copys of dodgy files and if you dont turn it of they will keep coming back.

then manulay goto c:\system32 and manulay find the files in that list and delete them one by one (yes it takes time but better than format of you cant be bothered)

after you have deleted the files in the list restart and run the scan again untill you have fully removed the files.

another usefull scanner i use is the norton online scan its free and does a very good job of findind where dodgy files hide, it willl also give you a list at the end with any viruses or bad files that need to be removed. follow the list and manuly delete.
