Windows 10: KB4528760

My Win10 has "installed" this update on three seperate occasions now... January 16th, February 12th, and now today February 17th.

The first time installed correctly with no errors, and a restart required afterwards. The second time the same thing...

This third time it downloaded and installed without error again, but no restart required, just a "you're up to date!" instant message on completion. I restarted my PC anyway, and it did no extra busy screen stuff before the login screen like normally happens when an update is installing.

Is this damned update actually installing, or is windows update itself just thinking i've not got it installed and trying to install it over the top each month?

KB4528760 killed Halo Wars 2

Halo Wars 2 on PC hasn't been working since KB4528760 was installed about a week ago.

Uninstalling KB4528760 Update NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM and pausing updates for 7 days gets the game working again.

I posted this information on www.halowaypoint.com.

A couple of people confirmed the game worked again after uninstalling the update and thanked me for the info.

Next thing, Halowaypoint deleted my posts and banned my account for posting inappropriate content, saying I suggested people uninstall Windows Security Updates.

KB4528760 is Update NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM

Its not even a Security Update NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM as other updates installed at the same time were.

People are still buying and downloading Halo Wars 2 from the Microsoft Store and Halowaypoint cant give an ETA as to when the problem will be fixed.

Why has Halowaypoint
got such a problem with people uninstalling KB4528760 and pausing the reinstall for 7 days as a
temporary work around?

Monitors of Halowaypoint are now banning people from posting messages in languages other than English because they're are too lazy to use Google Translate.

A patch has been released which fixed the problem.

Halo Wars 2 now works with KB4528760 installed.
