Windows 10: Why 6 years later has windows not fixed the problem with plug n play usb mics?

Just bought a blue yeti mic. My voice was super quiet despite setting volume and boost to max. Applied all the fixes online to discover the issue is windows know about the problem but haven't fixed it in more than 5 years.

My question is, do i need to rollback to windows 7 if that's possible or should i just sell this mic because my operating system hasn't fixed the issue in over 5 years?

USB Mic Problems.


The next step is what I suggested originally. Try it in a friend's PC or take it to Best Buy and ask them to try it one of their PC's. Have to confirm the mic is working OK.

windows problems with usb mic

windows thinks my usb mic are speakers. i have tried different usb plugs, uninstalled it and re loaded drivers still a usb play back device called mic. it shows no input when watching the level meter and will not work with any programs
