Windows 10: Question regarding windows acting wierd - Inseparable Chrome tabs/Volume Overlay

Just to preface this, the things Im about to say are all symptoms, Im not sure what the actual problem is. I think


For last couple of months Ive been having weird actions done by windows. They all seem to came on at once but i believe they're symptoms more so then the problem.


First major symptom Ive been having is that my tabs in my google chrome have been getting frozen. Let me describe this further. It seems like every second start up of the machine itself, I cant separate tabs from main window of chrome to have a second window. I have to open a whole new window in order to have a separate window. The whole tab row is just frozen. Upon a second restart of PC, it all starts working like normal. I've tried reinstalling, refreshing etc google chrome to factory settings, still seems to happen.


Second symptom is that the volume overlay appears for either spotify or youtube and will not go away unless i preform actions in that application at which point it will go away only to return once i click off the application. Again this will go away upon a second restart of PC.


It all happens like this every second restart of PC without a fail.


Please advise if you have heard anything like this happening to you.

Radeon Overlay not displaying all options

Ok, I got a question. The options to hide the overlay are confusing. What are the steps to turn on the overlay in-game? Not interested in logging much at the moment. Is Alt-R part of turning it on/off?

To answer your questions:

• No major changes or update to the system
• It happens only with Chrome
• No extension to play music throughout Chrome
• I am currently using the latest Chrome version available

With regard to the suggested steps, I tried it and nothing changed.

• Is the Camera working properly in other Apps (Camera/Skype)?
• What is the make and model of your computer?

I suggest you to run the Hardware and Devices troubleshooter by following the steps provided below:

• Type troubleshooting in the Search box and press Enter.
• Click on View All in the left navigation pane.
• Click on Hardware and Devices and follow the on-screen prompts for troubleshooting.
