Windows 10: Updates constantly showing as pending download and never downloading/installing

My PC is CONSTANTLY showing updates as pending download and there is no download button to click to try to get the downloads to actually download let alone install. I have contacted Microsoft 3 times now to try to fix the problem, going through several trouble shooting fixes that didn't work and now being advised after the third time that formatting the C drive is the only answer. I don't want to go down this road as this PC has already been reformatted previously and I am still getting the same problem.

Windows authomatic downloads are all pending.

I recently had to reinstall Windows 10. Now my Windows updates all say pending but they are all pending. I have tried all the steps suggested in the community forum all except doing a clean installation. What can I do. I upgraded from Windows 8 several
years back and now I have Windows 8 and Windows 10 downloads. What can I do

 

Wireless constantly disconnects when downloading

Hello guys,

My wireless connection constantly disconnects when I download something (steam, torrent, something via web browsers or something else)
My router is NETGEAR WGR614v9. It seems like it disconnects only when downloading something.

Its firmware version is 1.0.9_1.0.2. It seems pretty old. If I update the firmware, does it fix my problem?

 

Background download constantly

What i did was i went into the services and stopped "Windows Update" and then i noticed that my bandwidth wasn't being used..I noticed blinking lights on my modem and figured out that it was downloading something..

Browsing sites had become slow. But of course now i have to download updates for it..So what's proper way of doing it without it downloading in BG constantly without notification..
