Windows 10: Is Windows 10 dictation sleep timer related to Cortana? Can sleep timer be modified or shut...

Hi Folks,


I'm attempting to use Windows 10 dictation to compose long documents, but dictation goes to sleep after a few seconds of activity, resulting in a really jerky process. Like most writers, I compose a few sentences, then pause to decide what next to say and how to say it. The result is dictation going to sleep several times per minute during dictation. I suspect the speech-to-text function is primarily for Cortana, so other purposes, such as dictation, are of minor concern to the developers. That's why I'm posting in the Cortana group -- I'm guessing the timer is more related to what works for Cortana. My question is, can the sleep timer be shut off or the inactivity parameter be extended to something like 3 minutes?

If you want a STOP Music button for Radio…

There is now such option for FM radio that was introduced with recent update. You can post a suggestion for sleep timer function to be introduced in Wp8 radio, at WP Suggestion box.

If you would like to wake up with radio instead of alarm clock sound…

Some apps can do it but not with FM radio. Here is an example of such app:

Radio sleep timer

Is there a sleep timer that works for radio? I have "Stop Music" which works well with 'on board' music, but does not stop the 'X Box radio' available since Amber update. Great to have radio anyway ...
