  1. Display is always warm even when night light is disabled

I have a Thinkpad X1 Carbon running Windows 10. My onboard display seems to be warm and red-shifted even when night light is disabled. Funnily enough, when I start color calibration, it reverts to the default color temperature, but shortly after the color calibration wizard closes, it reverts back to the warmer mode. Turning on night light only makes the color temperature even warmer. Mirroring displays on another monitor also seems to temporarily (while mirroring displays) bring back the color temperature of the onboard display to the cooler default.

Can anyone please point me toward a fix to this issue?

  2. Night Light Settings

Separately from the Night Light, is the brightness options also disabled? If so, I might recommend these steps to make it work again:

    1) Right-click Start button, choose Device Manager

    2) Find the "monitors" section in the list and expand it

    3) Right-click and uninstall every item listed under the monitors section

….. note: don't accidentally go to the "display adapter section", leave that one untouched.

    4) Click the "scan for hardware" button on the toolbar up top (the icon with the magnifying glass inside it)

    5) Try brightness and night light settings again

Can't find night light mode in display.

    Hey guys,

I just got this HP windows 10 laptop, and I tried to enable the night light function to help filter the blue light to protect my eyes from getting sore. I followed every steps online, "setting-display-night light mode"..but I reached to the "customize your display" instead of "display", and there's no such a thing called "night light"(pic shown as below). I would appreciate if you can help me with this problem, bring me back to the normal display setting to get my favourite night light turned on. Thank you!

    Night light breakdown

    Hi AMIR,

You can enable/disable night light by following the below steps:

    - Open Settings

    - Select System (opens Display)

    - Select the toggle underneath 'Night light'

    - Note: there is also settings under the 'Night light settings' option

Please let me know if this doesn't resolve your issue.

    Hope this helps,
