  2. Constant alerts of 100mb Data partition after updating to windows 10 from windows 7.

If I were you, I would first try to remove the H: drive letter, which is very simple, to see if it works.

If it doesn't work, I would suggest you extend the H: partition. In disk management, you can only extend partition using the unallocated space next to its right side. therefore, the option to extend C: drive is still grayed out when you shrink C: drive.
You have to delete a contiguous partition, before you can merge partitions in Disk Management. therefore, My suggestion is to use a third party software, AOMEI Partition Assistant, both the standard (free) or the Professional(paid) version will do. you can
use it to either move the unallocated space and extend partition with disk Management or directly merge partitions.

Even though you will not lose the data in the process, be sure to backup any data on the disk that you cannot lose first just to be safe in case something happens. Say a power outage while in the middle of merging partitions.

  3. Resize partition C

In order to extend C and recover space from D, you will need to delete the 866 MB Healthy Recovery Partition and the Storage D:\ partitions.

There appears to be data on the D:\ partition.

I recommend you backup any important data on that partition before deleting it. After deleting the partitions, you will be able to extend C:\

    Steps:

Right click the ‘Healthy (Recovery Paritition) and the
Storage (D[UPDATE] managed to merge 292GB partition to Data H:\ how do i change the simple volume... :)
partitions in Disk Management, on the contextual menu, click the ‘Delete Volume’ option. Click ‘Yes’ when the warning dialog appears.

The Volume you deleted will now appear as ‘Free space’, you will also notice that the disk icon no longer appears in the list of volumes.

Right click the Free space partition, and click Delete, click Yes on the Disk Management warning that appears.

The volume will now appear as Unallocated. Our next step is to merge back that unallocated free space with the system partition

A wizard will now begin that will guide through the steps to merge back the unallocated space with your system partition.

The wizard provides a simple procedure to merge back the unallocated space with the system drive. Once you have selected the space, click Next, at the end of the wizard, you will see the amount allocated.

Can I safely delete certain partitions?

All the partitions to the right of C:\ can be safely deleted. I noticed you have some substantial unallocated disk space that you should try recovering.

After deleting the suggested partitions, the Volumes you deleted will now appear as ‘Free space’, you will also notice that the disk icon no longer appears in the list of volumes.

Right click the Free space partition, and click Delete, click Yes on the Disk Management warning that appears.

The volume will now appear as Unallocated.
