    My PC turns on by itself during the night SOLVED


    I've seen similar questions already posted, but I had to ask since they're kinda outdated.

    In the evening I'd put my PC to hibernation. Browser and XAMPP are on. And around 3:15-3:45 at night it would turn on by itself and wake me up. Not every night, but often. I turned of Wake on LAN at least I think so as suggested on other threads, but it still turns on. It's most probably network related, for last two nights I've put it on hibernation and unplugged the network cable and it didn't turn on.

    I think this started with 1909 update, but I couldn't be 100% certain, I didn't use hibernation much until a month ago.

    Any ideas?


    EDIT: I've found a bunch of possible solutions on different forums, check my reply below. It worked for me.


    Specs:
    OS: Windows 10 Pro 1909
    CPU: AMD Athlon X2 340
    RAM: 4GB
    GPU: ASUS R5 230 series

    Night Mode

    Hi David,

    Additional information will give us a clarity to your concern. We would like to know if you are referring to Night Light. If yes, follow these steps to turn off the Night Light:

    • Open Settings.
    • Click on System.
    • Make sure that you are on Display tab, and then toggle the
      Night Light       option to Off.
    • Click on Night light settings.
    • Click on Turn off now button.

    Ok just because I like steps i am going to create some steps. Please give me the stamp of approval/disapproval
    • Install system in case
      • Remember to connect SSD and optical to same SATA ports on motherboard
    • Turn on PC
    • setup HDD
    • run blend test in prime95 for 30-60 min
      • run realtemp at the same time
    • While in Prime95 test
      • if CPU goes above 70c in RealTemp, I have a leaky CPU
      • if my system locks up or blue screens, there is an instability in the system somewhere
      • if my system does not lock up or blue screen, my CPU is not damaged and I am in the clear!
    What do you guys think??

    Yeah, thats not a solution she is interested in......I've suggested that course of action. Thanks though.

    Just to clarify, I feel that there MUST be a step, or series of steps to turn off JUST the wireless notification sound. Thats what Im driving @ here.
