Windows Clock out of sync by exactly one hour

    Hello,

I received my new laptop today but I have one major issue that I cannot seem to fix:

The Microsoft clock is one hour off on every single time zone. I have tried everything from this list https://windowsreport.com/fix-windows-10-clock/ but nothing seems to be working.

List includes checking everything is correct with windows time services, running scans on command prompt, changing the internet time server, checking that the task schedule is correctly setup, running commands to unregister and reregister windows time service etc. I also don't think that the CMOS battery is flat since this is a brand new laptop.

The sync is perfect time wise, just the hour is wrong for some reason and that seems pretty weird to me. It is consistent There is no visible errors except when trying to click the "Synchronize Time" in the clock settings and it gives me generic error that the time sync has failed.

Another error comes when I try to change the internet time server from the advanced time settings and I receive error that the request has been timed out. But none of the errors give any specific reasoning so it is difficult to troubleshoot the issue.

As far as I can tell the scheduling is enabled and working fine, the windows time service is set as automatic and running but the times are still wrong.

I have also updated the drivers, done all the windows updated and checked that my BIOS is correct version etc. I just cannot think any other way to troubleshoot this so all help is appreciated!

    :)

  2. As of this morning, my system clock was off by exactly 1 hour - problem with time.windows.com?

    Hello all.

A number of colleagues at work experienced the exact same issue: all of our systems clocks are off by exactly 1 hour - 1 hour later than it actually is. It's as if double daylight savings time has been applied.

I fixed the issue by changing my internet time settings to sync with time.nist.gov instead of the windows time server. Given that changing my internet clock server fixed the problem, it seems logical that the problem has something to do with time.windows.com
(or how Windows 10 is reading that server and adjusting for DST).

Sync causes 1-hour offset in clock and in appointments on Windows 7

I'm having the same problem with Windows 7 on my HTC Fuze, only the sync is pushing the clock on my device one hour AHEAD instead of behind. It's screwing up my calendar with every stinking attempted sync!

  4. Windows Clock out of sync by exactly one hour

Clock in HP Pavillion with Windows 10 is seven hours fast.

Purchased the laptop on 04/09/2019 and noticed clock was running seven hours fast. Whenever its corrected (via Change Date & Time facility, both automatic and manual options; or Windows Time Service facility; or Change Internet Time Server) the clock reverts
back to being seven hours ahead when its restarted. Took the laptop back to PC World today (10/09/2019) and they said it was the CMOS battery so needed to be sent away, or they could replace with the same make and model from the store (Moorgate, London). I
opted for a replacement but exactly the same problem, which the in-house technician could not resolve (he suggested I buy an alternative). I've retained my initial purchase in the hope it can be fixed (but noting I've already tried the fixes referred above).
Can anyone suggest a fix? Is Microsoft aware of this problem? Two laptops both having exactly the same issue does not seem right.
