Windows 10: Filtering non-square pictures/1:1 aspect ratio?

I have a bunch of music files with associated cover art named "cover.jpg". A large majority of them are perfectly square aspect ratio, which is what I want. A few are close to square (say 1400x1401) and I'd like to filter those non-square pics out and crop them to square (with ps or irfanview, etc). I know about the "Dimensions" search filtering in w10, but it's not what I'm looking for as there's way to many files to go through manually. Thanks!

A Picture "Aspect Ratio" Application


Hi,

I'm looking for a Picture Aspect Ratio application that can give me a summary of all the Aspect Ratios of images in a folder.
(Small Education Course:
• High definition computer monitors have an Aspect Ratio of 16:9
• HDTVs usually have an Aspect Ratio of 16:10
• Remember old school computer monitors? The have an Aspect Ratio of 4:3
Great job, y'all passed the course! A++ for all!!)

So check this out. I have a folder that has a lot of wallpaper images for the computer. Yet many of their dimensions are different. For example: 2560x1440, 1920x1080, 1600x900, 1280x720.
(Education course again: If you simplify those numbers, you will get 16x9 for all of them; hence the Aspect Ratio of 16:9)

I want an app that will analyze all the Aspect Ratios of the images in the folder (not the dimensions), and tell me which images don't have a 16:9 Aspect Ratio.

Aspect ratio adjustment

The aspect ratio of my screen is wrong. The picture is all stretched out with black on the top and bottom of the desktop background. How do I get the ratio back to normal?

I understand your concern, make sure you are logged in as admin. After that please follow the steps below and check the aspect ratio.

• 
  Right click on Desktop.
  
• 
  Click on Personalize.
  
• 
  Advanced display settings,
  
• 
  Display Adapter properties
  
• 
  Monitor>scaling>Change Aspect Ratio.
