Windows 10: Moving any page between monitors resizing issue!

This one is baffling me. For example when I move an excel page from my HP laptop monitor 1 to second monitor Dell monitor 2 and the page crosses between monitors. Right at the halfway point where the page is split in half the page resizes. This is causing a not so smooth transition when I move pages back and force and created lag in the move.


Moving pages to monitor 1 makes pages slightly larger.

Moving pages to monitor 2 makes pages slightly smaller


Both monitor are on the recommended 1920x1080

Monitor 1 scaling is at 150% recommended

Monitor 2 scaling is at 100% recommended

There may be several reasons why you are unable to resize or move applications after installing an update. To better assist you with your concern, we would like you to answer the questions below:

• Does it happen only on one application?
• Which application are you having issues resizing or moving?

In the meantime, we suggest you to run the Windows 10 troubleshooter. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Press Windows key +X, select
  Control panel
• Change the view by option on the top right to
  Large icons
• Click on troubleshooting and click on the
  view all option on the left panel
• Run the Windows Store apps troubleshooter

Using RDP on two monitors... resizes when moved to one monitor

Thanks for the response, my resolutions setting and drivers are good. Displays were working correctly until I hit a couple of keys that made it change (I probably hit the ctrl or fn key and a letter).

The issue is that when I move my RDP window from my two monitors to one monitor, it resizes the RDP display to show two RDP monitors on my one local monitor. What is should do is simply slide over and not resize.

Please advise.

Thank you for your response.

In this case, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below and check.

1. Launch Skype.
2. Drag the Skype Window to secondary monitor.
3. Resize the window as per your preference.
4. Maximize the Window and Restore Down.
5. Then close the skype window in secondary monitor.
6. Then try re-launching and check if the issue resolves.
