Windows 10: Opening password protected documents

So I just had my Windows 10 installed (I previously had Windows 7) and I had some word documents that I saved on my external hard disk that were password protected and I even uploaded them on my drive. And as you can imagine, I cannot open them right now neither from my hard disk nor from my drive (phone and pc). Is there any chance I can get my documents back?

How to open password Protected documents ?

Unfortunately Password protected Word Documents are not supported at the moment. Please make a feature request on the following page:

Older office formats are not supported. You will need to convert to supported types

open a office2010 document with password protection

Hi:

I am a WM6.5 user in China. I find that I cannot open a office2010 document with password protection though I know the password. The window says that system doesn't support files with password protection. So how can I solve the problem?

Thanks a lot!



ps:I can open the file(*.docx) in PC, and I don't speak English very well.
