  1. Help! The selection area keeps jumping around.

Yesterday around 2pm the selection area in windows keeps jumping up to a corner. It's only in certain windows programs like OneNote or windows menus and such. My cursor stays put, but the selection area acts as if I was manually holding down up and left/right making it impossible to get around as I can select. At first is one only OneNote, but seems like it's expanded to other windows programs, though not all of them.

I've unplugged/uninstalled the mouse and keyboard and that didn't affect it. It's super weird that it's only in certain windows programs, but it's driving me insane as it's making it hard to do work. Sorry to bug ya, I just can't find info on it, though I did find older articles specifically for Windows 10 talking about glitchy.

    Microsoft Office Taskbar Jump Lists

    Hi Ken,

For us to better assist you with the taskbar Jump Lists issue, we'd like to know the following:

    • Were there any changes made to the computer prior to this issue (e.g. Windows updates)?
    • Does the issue also occur on other pinned apps/files?

In the meantime, we suggest to turn off/on Jump Lists in Settings. To do so, please follow the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + i to open Settings, then select
      Personalization.
    • In the left pane, click Start.
    • Turn Off then turn On Show recently opened items in Jump Lists on the Start or the taskbar.

We're looking forward to your reply.
