Windows 10: Component saxzip2.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is...

Hello! I'm trying to open a custom 3rd party program I just unzipped and it give me the following error:


Component saxzip2.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid


I have no idea what this is other than an Active X 'thing'.... I've tried downloading/installing an OCX add-on but nothing works... the only other help I see is telling me to go into my registry and make changes. That's kinda over my head.


I'm running Windows 10 fwiw and the program seems new.

I keep receiving run-time error 339 when I try to open a program that has been installed on my laptop. The error states that "Component comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." The program previously
worked so I am unsure what has happened. Please tell me what I can do to rectify this. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

The "component 'comdlg32.ocx or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid" error is one of the runtime errors and will appear while the program is running.

The error "The module comctl32.ocx failed to load" is usually cause by un-registered COMCTL32.OCX component.

First, you need to verify if comctl32.ocx is in C:\Windows\System32 folder. If found, run again the
regsvr32 comctl32.ocx command.

Note: Run Command Prompt as Administrator.

comdlg32.ocx Dependencies Help

The command prompt said 'Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.'

After running the program as an administrator, the same problem occurred saying that "Component 'comdlg32.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid."

Any other suggestions?
