  1. Anti malware service executable High Cpu Usage

I am aware that this is extremely common and know the usual fix of disabling it in settings and then disabling the options for it in task scheduler then restart your pc. The problem is this didn’t work at all for me and it is still taking up 40 percent of my CPU usage. I also installed malwarebytes after hearing windows defender won’t run alongside other antivirus programs but it turns out it still runs. Any advice is appreciated since it seems to be impossible to actually remove this or prevent it from crashing half the games I try to play, thank you for your time.

  2. anti malware service executable

I did a complete scan on the PC through Windows defender (win 10) and I saw anti malware service executable in the task manager. It's the first time I do a complete scan. Question: Was this in the task
manager before or I didnt notice it?. I read that it is wasting a lot of cpu usage. If I close it, my pc will be vulnerable to malwares?. Thanks in advance!

  3. Defender showing high cpu usage

Why is Windows Defender showing high CPU usage >40% when i am not running a scan. I ran a full scan yesterday which almost ran for 4 hrs and yet didn't complete. So I cancelled the scan and today i am seeing CPU usage of upto 50% by the Anti-malware service
    executable process.

    Antimalware Service Executable High CPU

I am experiencing high CPU usage on the Antimalware Service Executable on my Surface Pro i7 1 tb (2017). This has been going on for a couple of months. It makes my computer almost unusable. The CPU sits at 100% any time I try to use it. The CPU has
over 50% usage when nothing is being run in the foreground all the time (24 hours a day). The April update was just installed and the Antimalware Service Executable is still running at over 40% of the CPU utilization.
