    iCloud account settings out of date - in Mail REPEATEDLY


    Hi,

    I am repeatedly getting the Mail app telling me that my iCloud account settings are out of date - despite repeatedly inputting a fresh app specific password.


    I thought for a bit that the passwords might have a short lifespan - but I can't find any details of this being the case - and this morning it has been doing it to me repeatedly - accepting a new password and then before half an hour has passed telling me that my details are out of date again.


    Any help gratefully received - this is yet another problem with WIn 10 that is completely doing my head in.

    Your icloud settings are out of date

    Hi Sol,

    You might need to login to your iCloud account in order for this to be resolved. May we know if you've enabled two-factor authentication on your iCloud account? If so, you'll need to generate an app-specific password to add your iCloud account to the Mail
    app. Kindly follow these steps:

    1. Sign in to your Apple ID account page.
    2. Select Generate Password below App-Specific Passwords.
    3. Follow the instructions on your screen.

    If the issue persists, you may also try the suggested solutions on this
    support article    .

    Hi,

    Conflicts with your account settings is one of the possible reasons why you are having the out-of-date account settings issue. If you've enabled the two-factor authentication on your iCloud account, you'll need to generate an app-specific password to add

    icloud calendar account settings out-of-date all of a sudden

    All of a sudden I am repeatedly notified that my iCloud setting are out-of-date for my Win 10 Calendar App. This started 6/18ish. I have reentered my valid iCloud credentials several times and continue to be told my account is out-of-date. I have been syncing
    my iCloud account with my Win 10 Calendar App since launce with no issues. I do NOT have two step verification on my iCloud account and nothing with my iCloud account has changed.

    Anyone have a solution? Cheers
