  1. Difficulty fixing low sound quality issues

recently, the sound quality of the audio through bluetooth headphones has been very low, I have tried usign the same headphones with my phone and the sound quality was fine.

I do not think this issue is unique to the headphones, as the sound being output through the laptops speakers sounds worse than before, although it is hard to be sure because I rarely used them.

I have tried: devices and printers->properties->services and then disabling 'hands-free telephony' and applying, as well as disconnecting headphones then restarting laptop device manager->sound, video and game controllers and then disabled all of the sound drivers, restarting the laptop, then enabling them again

neither of these solutions worked, afterwards the sound quality was still low, and yes I have tried basic solutions such as forgetting then repairing the headphones, so how can I fix this issue?

Realtek HD Audio low and bad quality sound after Windows 10 upgrade

    Do the following steps:

    1. Go into Sound.
    2. Properties.
    3. Advanced and change the sound quality from CD to DVD quality.

    It worked for me.

    Low sound quality

    Hi Raymond,

Try installing audio drivers in compatibility mode. Compatibility mode runs the program using settings from a previous version of Windows. Follow these steps to install the drivers in compatibility mode and check if that helps.

    • Download the audio driver from the manufacturer’s website.
    • Right-click on the driver setup file and click on
      ‘Properties’
      .
    • Click on the ‘Compatibility’ tab and check the box
‘Run this program in compatibility mode for’ and select Windows 7/8/8.1 operating system from the drop down menu and proceed with the installation. Once this is done, restart the computer and check if the issue persists.

Please revert if there is still no improvement in the sound quality.

    Thank you.
