Login Issues after Updates - Asking me to update pw for HP not my acct name

    Hi,

My computer updated on it's own yesterday and i thought i had auto updates disabled.

The updates fnished but it's telling me i have to change my password. However, instead of my acct name is says it's HP so i dont have a login for that. I am able to log into my microsoft account on another computer but it won't let me switch it from HP to my account name to get into my laptop.

How can i either login to my account or bypass the login altogether to get into my computer? I haven't been able to get passed the login screen since the update and i can't seem to boot in safe mode. It won't let me go back to a restore point since it's not logged in.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    :)

    login screens

goto CONTROL PANEL/ USER ACCOUNTS then you have to remove all the other accounts except for the one you logon with....then restart...it should bypass the login tho it will still show the screen for it...it will continue to load windows...good luck*Rockout :rockout:

edit:: it asks for a login when there are more then one accounts..or if you set a pw to your login name...

I think you may just be looking in the wrong place. When you sign out the sign in screen and password box will be for the account that has just signed out. It's the same for a restart, the sign in screen will be for the last user that had signed in.

Sign out, then look for a list of names in the lower left corner of the sign in screen. All available accounts should be listed there, click on the one you want to change the sign in screen to be for that user. See the screenshot at step 2 in this tutorial.

    Sign in to Windows 10

Correct, the user folder is not created until the first sign in.
