Windows 10: Cannot Scan on Samsung C460 FW, multi-function printer, on Window 10 Home

Hi

I have a Samsung Multi function printer CF460 FW connected via USB cable to a new laptop running on Window 10 Home. The printer can print, but it cannot scan.


HP who is providing maintenance service for Samsung, has helped to download the software, but it still cannot scan from the laptop. The person at HP, already do a remote control on my laptop. After many tries, he said it could be the window 10 software, since I have no problem scanning with my old Laptop running on Window 7.


NOTE: I changed to a new Laptop with Window 10 was because Window 7, obsoleted no longer have MS support.

scan not working in Windows 10

I have windows 10 installed The printer (Brothers) has all the latest drivers installed. My printer is wireless and multi functional. I can not scan. The printer does all other functions but scan. This is becoming inconvenient. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Samsung multi function printer Scan Hardware I/O error

Hi,

I get the following error when I want to scan:

"Samsung I/O error while communicating with the device. Please wait and try scanning again. If it does not help, please turn the device off, then switch it on and wait while it warms up"

I switched device off, restarted my computer, but the error still shows when I want to scan.

I can print, it is only the scanner that doesn't want to work.

Computer: Samsung (Manufacuterer Samsung elecronics; Model 350V5C/351V5C/3540VC/3440VC)

Printer: Samsung Xpress C480FW

Windows 10, 64-bit operating system

Please help me.

 

Win 10 printer "driver is unavailable"

I followed these steps but they did not resolve the problem. My Windows 10 laptop is connected via USB to my Samsung C460 printer. After changing the compatibility setting as described, the driver installer still cannot find the printer so installation
fails. The printer is working with my Mac.
