Windows 10: Problem with Status: 0xc00000e9

A week ago I did a clean reinstall on a Windows 7 and installed Win10 on it, but never got to activate it.


I came yesterday, and it ran for the few hours I was here so I thought I will leave it on and come back today, to which I found it off.


I had already set it to never sleep, but now I can't get to the bios via f2


Other than this problem, I thought I had better put it on a tilt to allow more air to pass through it, because its a Toshiba Satellite, as my older Toshiba has the same problem, which often shuts it down unless its on a external fan.


What would cause it not to open and am I best reinstalling the Win10 and putting the activation on it this time?


It is connected to the internet.

This issue might be caused due to Faulty optical drive connected to your device.

Method 1: I suggest you to remove all the external devices except mouse and keyboard, try to reboot the device and check the status of this issue.

Method 2: I suggest you to update the latest BIOS and check if this fixes the issue.
Check with manufacturer’s support to update the BIOS.

Note: Modifying BIOS/ complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS) settings incorrectly can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from booting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that any problems resulting from
