Associate file extensions to a program

I am trying to associate a jpg file to Adobe Photoshop in a Windows 10 process that appears to continually direct me to a Windows 10 default recommendation. I managed to find two columns showing an incredible number of extensions on the left and the apps or programs on the right but I have so far not found an obvious way of associating anything using a right click, drag, or otherwise. Control Panel used to provide a user friendly process before Windows 10 at the latest update.

I need help to direct Windows 10 to allow me to select my association of choice for jpg to Photoshop.

    :)

  3. Associating file name extensions with programs

I am trying to change the association of file names with no extension. Windows 10 will not let me do it. I was able to do it in all prior versions. Now I want to change the program associated with a file name with no extension, but the program will not
let me do it. Any ideas?
