Windows 10: Edit Precision Touchpad settings in registry Windows10 Home x64

The gesture options for my Elan Touchpad Acer Aspire 5 515-54G are far too limited, AAP does not seem to have any effect on tap sensitivity lag/delay as URLs/files are frequently opened accidently during my scrolling while AAPThreshold is set to 3 low sensitivity. I would like to change my present setting "Tap once with One Finger = activate" to "Tap twice with One Finger = activate" and "Tap once with One Finger = select" or disable altogether. Swapping tap settings is possible with Asus Precision Touchpads and I wonder how this can be accomplished with my Elan driver 13.6.16.1?

Microsoft Precision Touchpad Registry Tweak to Enable Momentum

Hi,

I have a Dell XPS 13 9343 running Windows 10 x64, which uses the generic precision touchpad drivers. I actually really like the touchpad for the most part, but I REALLY miss momentum. Does anybody have a solution to tweak registry settings (possibly in
location located below) that would enable this feature. I do NOT want to use synaptics drivers, so please do not respond if that is your solution. THANKS.

Possible registry location:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\PrecisionTouchPad

I've tried adding MomentumEnable and Momentum_Enable as dword with value "1" but this had no effect.

Thank you for providing us the details.

I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps you finding the settings for Synaptics Touchpad.

• Press Windows + X keys, select Control Panel.
• Select Large view in Categories.
• Select Mouse and select Synaptics touchpad
  in the tabs and check if you can find the settings for it.

How do i change precision touchpad settings?

I've learnt about this 'Precision touchpad' but my laptop (Dell inspiron n5110) with Windows 10 enterprise x64 running on it, doesn't seem to support precision touchpad even though my 3 fingers flick works perfectly smooth. When
I swipe up with 3 fingers, Cortana opens. And when I swipe down, settings open. But how do I change it to 'Task view' option instead of Cortana/Settings. And there are no Precision touchpad settings in my settings menu. Thanks, stay connected
