  1. Current opinions regarding new Windows build update, version 1909

I just finished updating my laptop to the new Windows build, version 1909. So far I haven't had any major problems, but I did experience one small hiccup. When I was browsing my Downloads folder in Windows Explorer, I noticed that they were grouped in order of last modified. I didn't have them grouped that way before the update, and it took me a while to find the method to get my view of the Downloads folder back to the way it was, which is how my Documents folder is viewed.

My only con regarding the updating process is that it takes extremely long; it took one hour just to download the new build update, another hour to get things ready, and two more hours to actually install it. My laptop has a wired connection, so it shouldn't take an hour just to download something as important as this.

    :)

    Windows 10 update 1909

    Hi Sarthak

No you do not need to update to 1809 - 1903 if you are currently on version 1803, then version 1909 will appear in the list of updates and will automatically be installed on your PC since 1803 has run out of support

You do not need to do anything, 1909 is currently spreading around the world, just give it time to appear in the list of pending updates . . .

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Current opinions regarding new Windows build update, version 1909 :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.
