Windows 10: Keyboard beep when typing too fast

Greetings everyone,


A small question for all of you. I have a Lenovo thinkpad that has done me well thus far, but I've noticed that ever since the latest update from Microsoft it has begun beeping when I type too fast. For context, I type roughly 100 wpm, the computer seems to think I am hitting multiple buttons at once and will make the beep to let me know I'm doing something wrong.


Prior to this update I went into the system and changed its keystroke limit to 2. I can't remember how to do this. Tried Googling an answer but all I got was stuff saying to go into the BIOS, I distinctly remember NOT doing this, or that I had sticky keys engaged I'm not an idiot, I know what sticky keys is, it is most definitely not engaged. Does anyone know how to fix this? It's annoying to be typing and getting a beep, and I'm not sure why Microsoft felt the need to put out an update that rolled my changes back like that.

Keyboard Beeps and won't type

My keyboard keeps making a beeping noise everytime I try to type. Its not sticky keys, I've checked three times. I've been trying to find a solution but all I can find are solutions to turn off sticky keys or turn off the beeping noise but not fix the
keyboard issue. This is a brand new laptop, and this is only my third day using it. All of this is very upsetting :/ how can I fix this?

To help you with your concern, we suggest that you troubleshoot the keyboard. Follow these step by step instructions on how to troubleshoot:

• Click Windows tab.
• Type Troubleshooting.
• On the left side, click View all.
• Choose Hardware and Devices.
• It will prompt you to run as Administrator. Enter your credentials then it will check for any problems with your computer.
