Windows 10: Can't verify the Administrator on a new Windows 10 HP

I'm trying to get a new HP set up for my wife, who is not very computer savvy and is not good with things like passwords. When we got to the step to set up THE administrator for the computer, I used what she said was her gmail address, since she said she had been having problems with her more-used hotmail account. Now we seem to be completely at an impasse with Microsoft over this Administrator account. When I go into Settings - Accounts - Your info, it shows the gmail account we entered, but says "You need to verify your identity". When I click on the verify link, it says "We sent an email to *** Email address is removed for privacy *** to make sure that you own it..." and asks for the security code that was sent. The problem is that now she cannot find the password for this email and it will not let us reset the password. In fact, I'm questioning now whether we even had the email address right since it is an account that she never uses. So my question is: Is there any way to substitute another working email address for the one that is there now as the Administrator so that the Verification email with the Security Code will actually go through? It seems like everything I've tried just ends up in another loop asking for a password that we don't have. Since THE Administrator is not verified, I can't I think set up another Administrator. The only good thing is that we set it up with photo recognition and a PIN, but I don't know if these will always work for the Administrator access. HELP!!

Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

New laptop; can`t verify my microsoft identity

Hi, hope someone can help.

I can`t verify my microsoft account identity on my new HP Envy laptop with Windows 10, because the email address is wrong on the screen box.

I now have to wait 24 hours after 3 attempts, trying to reset the password.

I`ve opened a new Microsoft account (using my old laptop), but can`t use it because I can`t get past the verify setup page on the new laptop.

Any input would be gratefully received.

Could you upload the memory dump, C:\Windows\MEMORY.dmp, to onedrive and post a share link. The minidumps provided severely lack in data.

If you haven't yet, please disable driver verifier.
Resetting driver verifier options (recommended in this order)

1. In normal mode open an administrator command prompt and enter the below command
2. In safe mode open an administrator command prompt and enter the below command
3. On 3 boot failures, you'll boot automatically to the recovery options,
   • click Troubleshoot
   • go to the advanced options
   • choose command prompt
   • enter the below command
4. Boot with the recovery media, see above 4 steps in option 3.
5. Via the recovery options or recovery media, select a restore point prior enabling driver verifier
