windows 10 not recognising whole of HDD

Hi all, recently changed my HD by cloning up from 250 to 500G HDD using Active@ to get extra space. clone apparently succeeded with very few errors told cloner to skip those spots . error seemed to fix itself on start up as system ran a disc chk itself.

Now, on using the desktop HP EliteDesk - win 10 pro I note that hard drive shows in my pc as 126 G C , and 105G free in drive M D when actual primary disc size is definitely 500G. cant seem to get this fixed within device manager etc.. so tried partition manager in Active @ and resized C up to use all the unallocated space extra 200 or so G . seemed to work. ?

BUT..still showing C drive as 126G 20 G free in "this PC". not having the extra HDD space avail is a problem!

source disc cloned was a 250G. current snip enc.

any ideas? windows 10 not recognising whole of HDD ecac7695-c065-4e76-8ea3-9ef1c3435c52?upload=true.jpg

    Not recognising HDD

I recently updated to Windows 10 Anniversary Update, when I put my computer to sleep when it wakes up it does not recognise my Toshiba HDD. I run my OS and main programs off my Samsung SDD but my documents, music, photos etc. are on my other HDD which is
not being recognised by my computer. After I restart my computer it shows up again, but if were to put it to sleep again, it would not appear.

When it is not showing up in "my computer" it is also not appearing on device manager.

    Suggestions?

    SATA HDD recognised as SSD

Hi. My SATA HDD is recognised as a SSD and Windows 10 will not perform defragmentation on it as a result; which I appreciate. I've tried many of the prescribed procedures mentioned on forums but to no effect. I'm pretty convinced that the problem lies
in the fact I have installed a SSD in my machine. Windows is recognising the correct size of my SATA HDD however and the SSD isn't showing up quite rightly as its Linux formatted. Using a third party defragmentation program exactly the same problem occurs,
however I was able to defragment my C drive using it as it just warned against it and didn't prohibit me. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
