  1. Windows 10 taskbar is not always completely visible

This is a followup on a previous topic that was closed but never resolved: "Windows 10 taskbar is not always completely visible, but cut off from right" https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us...y/a1f413fc-a002-4354-b04c-06a1de862256?page=3

The desktop appears to be cropped around the edges so that the taskbar, even desktop icons, are partially cut-off. I have had this problem intermittently. Many of the suggestions made do not appear to work in general, but I have found one solution that seems to work for my system. It is a windows 10 with an nvidia graphics card:

    1. Open the nvidia control panel.

    2. In the left panel select, "Adjust desktop size and position".

    3. In the right panel, in the section labeled, "2. Apply the following settings", on the "Scaling" tab, you will see an option labeled, "Perform scaling on:" In my system there are two options: "GPU" and "Display". Select "GPU"

    4. Select "Apply" on the bottom right of the control panel.

This should properly scale the screen and return full visibility to the taskbar and icons. This appears to be a permanent fix. If there are other solutions permanent in nature please share.

    :)

Windows Updated(16299.309).KB4088776 Restart is required to complete.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Thanks for the suggestions and for the time to respond Windows 10 taskbar is not always completely visible :) Best regards.

And thanks for the tip of that program, I'll have it on my list.

Windows 10 taskbar is not always completely visible

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
