I skipped over Windows 8 and went from Windows 7 straight to Windows 10. One jarring difference I noticed about Windows Explorer is that I can no longer see the combined length of video files.

In Win7, if I selected multiple video files (e.g. multiple MP4 files), the bottom of the Windows Explorer ... umm ... window ... would show me quite a lot of data bout the combined files. Many of the fields (e.g. bitrate, file type, etc.) would be left blank unless all selected videos had the same value, but it would also tell me the combined length of the videos in question.

Seeing as I own a youtube channel, this is a rather useful stat for me to know.

But with Windows 10, that feature doesn't seem to be there anymore. Instead, the bottom of the window still shows me the combined file size, but not the combined length of the videos.

Much like quick launch, is there any way I can put the combined length of the videos back in?

The length of the selection line in the Windows Explorer

Sorry for my English. If you can, please tell me the solution. In Windows Explorer, the selection line (list view) depends on the length of the file or folder. In Windows 10, the selection line does not depend on the length of the file or folder, it is always the same. Can I change something in the Registry Editor to do it as it was at 7?

No video length data in File Explorer

Recently, File Explorer doesn't show the "Length" data in folders optimized for Video files. This appears to only happen in folders with MKV files, and not MP4 files, but it's not all MKV files. Some folders show the length data for all the MKV files,
some show data for some or just a few files, and some folders don't show any length data for any MKV files. I've viewed the folders from multiple PCs and have copied the folders to multiple PCs, and it doesn't seem to make a difference. Stranger yet, when
initially converted some of the files showed length data in File Explorer, but now do not. Any ideas as to what's going on with File Explorer in these cases?
