Windows 10: Not able to copy my folder ,pic, videos which are in locked, which are in external hard...

i am not able to copy my file,pic,videos from external hard disk to my laptop,all files are locked now i forgot how i did, i changed my laptop with new one , now the errors are like ... you do not have permission to copy,this file can't be encrypted,

encrypted box was grey in color, i tried to grant permission in security settings by clicking properties details also.

its not helping me out.

External Hard Drive

We suggest that you try the troubleshooting steps below:

• Open your External Hard Drive file in File Explorer.
• Type the name of the file you want to search on the search box and click Enter.

The file will show up in Search Results and you will be able to move it to the correct folder.

Unable to play video from external hard drive Error 0x80004005

• Are you able to watch videos which are stored in computer and online?
• Are you able to view photos and documents etc. from hard drive?
  

I suggest you to install all pending Windows updates and check. Updates are additions to software that can help prevent or fix problems, improve how your computer works, or enhance your computing experience.



Follow the steps and check if that helps.

• Type Troubleshooting on Search and hit
  Enter.
• Click on View all and click on Video playback.
• Click on Advance and check Apply repairs automatically.
  
• Follow on-screen instructions.

By running this troubleshooter it will find and fix issue with playing movies, television and video. Do let us know if you are able to play videos from external hard drive. Thank you.

 

Disk / file copy issue

It seems that the large folder that you moved to the external hard drive has appeared to be the main video folder. To isolate this case, we suggest that you create a new folder on the external hard drive first before copying/moving any files/folders.

By the way, we would like to ask the following information to help us sort out and address the issue:

• What's the make and model of your hard drive?
• Have you tried safely removing and reconnecting your hard drive from your PC?

In the meantime, please create a new folder on the external hard drive first, then try copying/moving a file/folder and see if it saves on the folder you specified.
