  1. Question about modifying a bootable image / ISO

    Hey guys,

I thought I'd turn here and ask you lovely gurus about this. I used to work in the IT department if a rather large Sandwich shop in Chicago that had done something that I am trying to replicate. Long story short, the way they would setup and distribute the company laptops was by having a bootable PXE server that would then go through and find pre-configured images for specific laptops. What I mean by pre-configured, I mean that any laptop that got imaged would come out with an "out of box" experience, having me go through and create a new user, password, etc, but after going through the initial setup and logging in, the administrator account was already there, company proprietary programs were already loaded up, all drivers were set up and ready to gox I mean it was just a matter of adding maybe one or two items and then placing the laptop on the domain.

So I guess heres my problem. At my new job, I was trying trying to get something similar going. I was able to pull an image off of an already existing laptop, but I am unable to figure out how to get it to boot up as a preconfigured out of box experience, or simply make it so that the image is bootable. To clarify, I used the built in windows 10 "create a system image" function to pull this image.

I know the image does work, as I am able to restore to that image on the other laptops by booting into a recovery drive and restoring from system image. So I suppose I'm good on that front.

How to make boot cd without bootable iso?

I've have tried many times and wasted dozens of cd's trying to make a bootable cd. The bootable cd I am trying to make is two files from the internet -a video card bios file and a flashing utility. I tell nero to burn the files does'nt work. I tell it to make a bootable cd but that does'nt work either. I also tried making the files into an iso then burning "does'nt work". I tried telling nero burn iso image to disc still not working. Also tell it burn image and make bootable disk won't work lol. Any help or suggestions will be much appreciated thanks.

Question about modifying a bootable image / ISO

How to make boot cd without bootable iso?

I think my problem is that the files "are not" boot files. They are the modified flashrom for flashing x800 bioses and im using an x800 xt pe bios that is not in a bootable cd iso format. All of the x800 bioses that I see in the tp bios collection do not have the advanced download option, that allows someone to get a bootable cd image of the bios *Frown Question about modifying a bootable image / ISO :(
