Windows 10: print problems with win 10 1903

I have noticed that if I have my PC running for a time say 5 to 6 hours and try to print to my only printer that I get a message stating my printer is offline. To resolve this I have to stop and then restart the printer spooler services. I have tried having win 10 manage my printer and I have manually set my printer to being the default printer. Neither process has helped solve this problem. By the way my printer is connected by ethernet cable with a 10 foot cable. Also this system is a desktop with all the power saving options turned off. The HDD never go to sleep, the Monitor never sleeps or goes to screensaver Also I reboot this system every night.

Could be this known issue, common to all versions of W10 and first acknowledged by MS on 23 September.

Win 10 1803 to 1903 update

My Desktop computer running Win 10 updated from version 1803 to 1903 a while back, but my Desktop running Win 10 version 1803

I'm assuming the update 1803 to 1903 has now resumed after the earlier problems caused a suspension?

Any thoughts, suggestions?

 

Win 10 Printing fail before and after "FIXES"

Several Win 10 PCs failed printing functions after updating to v 1903. Printing to any printer fails.

One network printer, two local printers; HP and EPSON; no test pages print to any of them. Web management to network printer, ping response. Patches specifically applied:

KB4524147 10/4/19

KB4517389 10/9/19

All available Windows updates have been applied.

All printer and print drivers deleted; new drivers downloaded; no test pages print.

All printer and print drivers deleted; installed with OS built-in drivers; no test pages print.

Is there an unpublished fix or update to resolve persisting print problems on Win 10 v1903 systems?

Any advice/suggestions?
