    Remove USB writeprotection

    DISKPART> attributes disk
    Current Read-only State : Yes
    Read-only : No
    Boot Disk : No
    Pagefile Disk : No
    Hibernation File Disk : No
    Crashdump Disk : No
    Clustered Disk : No

Q:can't turn off the Current Read-only State

I have tried many methods like use Win+R to change the DWORD value to 0

or use cmd to type attributes disk clear readonly but still not work!

    Need help asap!

    :)

    Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:
    1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
    2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

My PC writeprotects an external drive(USB disk) I plug in it.

    Hi Curtis,

To make sure that your laptop is not infected by malware since it WriteProtects USB disk, we recommend that you run the
Microsoft Safety Scanner. This will help you scan and remove viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It will also work
together with your existing antivirus software.

Note: This tool will expire 10 days after downloading it. Microsoft Safety Scanner can also be downloaded again if a scan is needed to perform.

Please let us know how it goes after running the tool.

My PC writeprotects an external drive(USB disk) I plug in it.

    Hey dear Microsoft community,

My Windows 10 installed laptop has several troubles including the one intitled.

What troubles me the most is that the very USB disk that I use to plug on my PC is getting
writeprotected (can't paste nor cut or
delete a single data on the USB DISK, as you know not even
    format)
whereas when I plug it on my collegue's computer which has the same OS as mine it works well and all operations can be done on it.
