Discus and support One of my computers doesn't leave file extensions unselected when renaming and this tiny... in Windows 10 Ask Insider to solve the problem; Okay, not really. But does anyone know what I did differently on this one machine during this one install? I have something like six Windows machines...     Okay, not really. But does anyone know what I did differently on this one machine during this one install? I have something like six Windows machines here and only one of them is doing this. All of them have file extensions set to show.

    Example for those who have no idea what I'm talking about: Let's say I'm trying to rename file.txt to "really important thing.txt":

    Normally if I press f2 to rename it, the .txt part is unselected, so the only part I'll replace by typing a new name is "file". This means I only have to type "really important thing" and the .txt will remain. On my main desktop, the entire "file.txt" is selected so I have to re-type the .txt on this one machine.

    Thanke your reply . But windows doesn t leave me to write the code. I don t reach my files, so i don t rrrach anything else. Now we will try to system reboot feom pendrive

    Windows 10 doesn´t recogonize .docx extension / suggests thereis no app installed

    When i want to open a docx file, Windows doesn´t recognize the extension. When I try to associate the extension with Word I cannot, as ´there is no app´ installed for the extension... How to fix?

    I`m sorry I had not noticed that the text on the picture was in spanish. It says that windows has replaced some damaged clusters in "name" file and "directory". Then, at the end "an unspecified error occurred (75736e6a726e6c2e 4f6)".

    I`ll do it and I`ll be updating this thread when I have the report.
