Windows 10: Windows 10 - HP ENVY_Wide Vision_HD Camera Disconnected_Device Not Connected_Error

HP ENVY Windows 10


I installed Skype on the laptop, and during installation, on one of several pop ups, I think I clicked wrong response and disabled/disconnected the WebCam. I've tried to restore system back to the day prior to downloading Skype. Have checked all privacy settings for apps.


Error Messages Below:

All say that my device name: HP Wide Vision HD Camera is "not connected" to the computer Code 45.
PLEASE HELP!

We suggest you to run hardware and devices troubleshooter and check if it helps.

Please follow these steps:

• Type troubleshooting in the search box on taskbar and click on it in.
  
• Click "View all" and then click "Hardware and Devices".
  
• Click "Next" and follow on-screen instructions.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

my camera disappeared with Windows 10 update

Thanks. Installing the driver in Compatibility mode really helped. I can now use the camera with no problem (HP ProBook 4510s, with no driver for Windows 10 available).
