Windows 10: Microsoft Server Remote Sign In

Greetings Community,


I have a quick question about windows server, when working from home. In the new environment of corona-virus this has become an important topic, that I'm sure others are also facing, when working from home.


I would like to know if I can sign in to my windows server domain account from home, with my laptop at home? The google results all discuss signing in using remote desktop, which is fine if you have a computer at work you would like to sign in to. However, I would like to bring my computer home, and do a network sign in from that machine from home. Is there an encrypted Vpn sign in option with windows server?

How to remove "HP Connected Remote" as a sign in account ?

HP Connected Remote is an app that comes preinstalled on select Windows HP computers. I would suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it resolves this issue.

• On the Windows 10 Start screen, type hp connected remote.
• Click HP Connected Remote from the Apps search results.
• Click Settings, and make sure Enable HP Connected Remote is turned On.

Unable to access server via remote desktop after router change

Hi,

I manage my home theatre and music servers via remote desktop. Both have wired connections to the router.

All has been well for many years.

Recently our old modem/router was replaced with a new one. There have been no other changes.

While I can still remote into the home theatre server I am no longer able to remote into the music server:

Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer....

What I can do is:

• ping the music server
• bring up shares on the music server on another computer
• access the music server using TeamViewer

Does anyone have any suggestions how I can use remote desktop to manage my music server again please?

 

Error: 0x204 when trying to connect to server using Microsoft remote desktop app on Mac

I understand that you are receiving the error 0x204 when trying to connect to the server using the Microsoft remote desktop app for Mac.



You can try the steps mentioned below and check if that helps.

1. Quit the remote desktop program on Mac and hold the option key.
   
2. Now click on the Go menu to enable the library and select the user’s that.
   
3. Now navigate into containers folder and copy com.microsoft.rdc.macos and com.microsoft.rdc.mac and paste it on a different location.
   
4. Now go back to the user’s library and open the group containers folder
   
5. Copy UBF8T346G9.com.microsoft.rdc and paste it on a different location.
   
6. Restart the PC.
   

Also, you can try resetting the network settings for your Mac and see if that helps. Refer the article by Apple on
