    I need help here.


    I'm having issues on my desktop PC where the Microsoft Store freezes. I researched the problem and chose to reset the Microsoft Store app. After this, the app was gone and there was no way to re-install it. I tried many things. What I did at this point is to download the Windows 10 media installation tool and ran it fro my desktop. I thought this would just re-install any problem files. It completed fine and then rebooted.


    After this the Microsoft Store was back, but it would just lock up. I heard this had something to do with my Microsoft Account, so I logged out of the Microsoft account on my PC and put it back to a local account. This didn't help either, so I tried to log back into my Microsoft Account and now there isn't an option to do that. on the "Your Info" Page it only has the option: "Stop signing in to all Microsoft apps automatically" which would do nothing if I clicked on it. I ran the Microsoft Account Troubleshooter and it came up with the following errors: "Can't connect to sync service" and "Rootcauses found and created logs." I found at times this can happen because of issues with the Internet. I have confirmed that the internet connection is working, it's a wired connection directly to the router.


    I have a Windows 10 laptop as well and everything is working fine on that, my Microsoft Account AND the Windows Store both operating perfectly fast with all the newest Windows Updates.


    Does anyone have any ideas on what I can do to fix this? My desktop is still usable, but having the following issues....


    1. I'm not able to sign into my Microsoft Account

    2. The Microsoft Store is unusable.


    There has to be a way to fix this.

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    As you may already know, Windows 10 (as well as Windows 8) allow you to log in with a valid Microsoft account, instead of creating a local account that only works on your machine. However, you may prefer to keep a local account for privacy reasons. If you do, though, some Windows 10 features—like Cortana—may not work. Despite the default behavior, the Windows 10 Store is not one of them. You can still log in to your Microsoft account for just the Store without switching to a full Microsoft account. The process, however, is not terribly obvious. To do so, follow these steps:

    • Launch the Store from your Start menu.
    • Click the user icon next to the search box.
    • Click “Sign-in” from the menu that appears.
    • Choose “Microsoft account” and log in like normal.
    • When the “Make it yours” box appears do not enter your password. Instead, click “Sign in to just this app instead.”

    This issue might occur if there is change computer is not connected to the network or there is change in app settings.



    To assist you better, please provided us the information below:

    • When you say that "while log in to Microsoft account in store or mail ", are you connected to the internet while trying to configure Microsoft account in Store and Mail? Are you referring to Windows 10 Mail app?
    • Are you logged into the Microsoft Account or Local Account?



    I suggest you to run the below Windows Store apps troubleshooter and check if it helps.
