  1. Cannot See Private Use Characters in Character Map

    I have been trying, to no avail to access private use characters from a font I downloaded. I am use to opening character map and copying and pasting the characters or glyphs that I need into my Cricut software, but I have been unable to. My PC has been updated and I have deleted and reinstalled the font. This is how it looks when I go to the selected font. All those empty boxes used to show as different characters. Please help.

    Windows Character Map Private Characters

    How do I insert a private character (made using the Private Character Editor) into a document? The Character Map instructions are not helpful as they only work with the special characters already contained in the map.

    private characters

    thanks Andre for replying to my question.

    Using Private characters editor I am able to select a code for my character, (E030), draw the character, link it with all fonts and save it. I then close private characters editor.

    Then I open Character map and copy and paste the character.

    With number lock selected I press and hold the function and Alt keys and type in my character number (030) then I release the keys.What then appears in my word document is not my character but another character which is part of the Times Roman font.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Brian.
