Windows 10: we couldn't complete the updates KB4541335

I tried, without success, to update manually or through windows update the cumulative update for windows 10 version 1909 for x64-based systems KB4541335. My OS Build is 18363.720. After downloaded and instaled the update the computer restarted, but I saw a message after 7% of the process: "we couldn't complete the updates"! What can I do?


I encountered something similar when I wanted to update from version 18.09 to 19.09. The only solution, then, was to delete everything and directly reinstall version 19.09.I do not think that to install an update I must always reinstall the system.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Good day,

Having an issue with the KB4541335 update.

Windows update gives message "we couldn't install this update but you can try again (0x800f0831).

After several attempts it still does not install.

I have also tried to download and manually install the .msu file.

It will give result "did not install the update KB4541335"

I also noticed the last days I have to validate Windows 10 frequently with the troubleshooter.

It seems to "unvalidate" my Windows account.
