Windows 10: Computer lagging/beeping when playing a game

    Computer lagging/beeping when playing a game


    Sometimes when I play a game, the computer starts lagging, and I hear a beeping sound over the speakers, like a "boop-boop-boop" kind of sound. This happens until I restart, and won't happen again for a while, until a few weeks later, and I'll have to restart again. How do I narrow down what is doing this?

    If it's an online game, the lag issue may have been caused by your Internet connection. It can also occur due to the game server issue. We'll need to gather a bit more information to better identify what's causing this. Kindly answer the following:

    • Have you made any changes prior to this issue?
    • What card game are you having issues with?
    • Is the issue the same with other games?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far to resolve the issue?

    Meanwhile, if the card game you're playing is downloaded from Windows Store, we suggest running the
    Windows apps troubleshooter. The apps troubleshooter can help resolve issues with games and applications downloaded from Windows Store.

    Random beeps when i alt tab back into a game

    so, im casually playing. i alt tab to chrome then back into game. it seems fine for 10 seconds then a weird beep (consisting of 4 beeps each with a higher pitch) plays once, and while it plays my game lags heavily. the beeps can come at random times and
    when i mute system sounds i can't hear it. all my sounds are default and my mouse is not lagging by what i know because i can play smoothly after the beeps end, its just really annoying when i alt tab back into a game and it randomly beeps here and there.

    Any feedback would be great.

    I noticed it when i first installed Minecraft on my PC 2 weeks ago. since then it happened it in some more games. After playing a bit there is this loud "BEEP BEEP" (sometimes 1 and i also got it once where it beeped 3 times but 2 is most common) and the
