Windows 10: Logitech webcam HD C525 driver error

I have the following issue with a Logitech webcam HD C525:



When connecting it to an HP Elite notebook running Windows 10 x64, the webcam is shown under 'Audio' but reports adriver error. When I check details under 'devices and printers'-->'webcam properties'-->'hardware properties'-->'general', the error is reported as follows:


Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. Code 39

{Bad Image} %hs is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or the software vendor for support. Error status 0x


I've already tried the following to get the camera working, to no avail:


- uninstall the webcam, including the drivers;

- connect the webcam the different USB ports;
- install the webcam using latest Logitech software LWS280 or LogiCameraSettings_2.10.4;

- update driver using the option 'search automatically for updated driver software'; the response is that the best drivers are already installed. Driver version is 13.80.853.0, driver date is 22-10-2012.


The webcam works without issues on a desktop PC running Windows 7 x64.

I keep getting Logitech - WebCam - HD Webcam C525 - Error 0x800f0203, with the windows update any workaround or fix? I Downloaded and applied all updates from Logitech but I still get the error message with windows update.

I followed the listed steps and the webcam is performing properly and is recognized by Windows 10, I checked software and driver updates on the Logitech site and the Logitech utility states the software and driver are up to date and working properly. The
only issue I have is with Windows 10 Updates trying to update the Logitech software/drivers in the recent update and that update is throwing the Ox800f0203 error and continues to does so after all of the suggested solutions. Which puzzles me since the Logitech
hardware/software/driver is working properly.
