Windows 10: Lost Product Key after moving OS from HDD to SSD

I moved Windows 10 Pro to my SSD via booting through a separate USB Stick and that all worked. Then, probably fatally I deleted the old OS from the HDD. I thought that I could activate Windows through my digital license, which is linked to my Microsoft Account right? with which I logged in while reinstalling Windows 10.

I have tried multiple times to find my product key but I simply don't have it. I appear to have lost and and I don't have the retail info because I got it from my brother and he doesn't know where he got it from. And trying to get it by looking through the system won't work, because that product key is the generic one VK7JG-NPHTM-C97JM-9MPGT-3V66T. That is what I always got when using methods recommended for finding one's product key, which won't work here. Have I just messed it up completely for myself, do I have to buy Windows again to activate?

I have a HP laptop with original Windows 10 Home Edition. My present Hard Drive is very slow (HDD).

Now I want to use a new SSD and want to reinstall this original OS to my new SSD.

But I have lost my Product Key.

What is the process.

i'm thinking of adding an ssd to my computer but i don't want to format the OS since it's tiring to re-add my emails and other stuff, so i wanted to know is it possible to move the OS from SSD to HDD without reinstalling the window?
