Blue Screen / Pc Needs repair and won’t boot?

Hi there, this is going to be long as I try to provide as much detail as possible. I know pretty much nothing about computers, so i apologize in advance.

I’m experiencing an issue with windows 10.

5 days ago my Laptop A lenovo legion y730 laptop rebooted after I updated keyboard drivers as prompted. After it started up again, I was greeted with this screen:

Blue Screen / Pc Needs repair and won’t boot? [IMG]
Recovery. Your Pc/Device needs to be repaired.

    file: \Windows\system32\winload.efi
    Error code: 0xc000000f

none of the options do anything besides UEFI firmware settings, which i cant make any sense of.

When contacting support online, i was told that it was an issue with the windows 10 update which i was experiencing issues on, like internet randomly disconnecting and that a fix would be out in 2-3 hours. That was 5 days ago.

it does not enter safe mode. I cannot get it to enter safe mode, its not an option. Ive been on the phone 5 different times- I swear to god i cannot enter safe mode.

I’ve made a boot drive using a flash drive as guided online, and when i hit f12 on startup it takes me the boot menu like this:

Blue Screen / Pc Needs repair and won’t boot? [IMG]After choosing to boot via the flash drive i have, it takes me to this screen:

Blue Screen / Pc Needs repair and won’t boot? [IMG]
When i click on troubleshoot, these are my options:

Blue Screen / Pc Needs repair and won’t boot? [IMG]

Startup repair does not work. Neither does system restore, or uninstall updates. If need be i can give you the exact message but it boils down to “cant do it.”

when i go to “recover from a drive” my two options are “just remove my files” and “fully clean my drive”. I’ve only attempted “Just remove my files” because i really dont want to fully clean my drive. it says: “There was a problem recovering your pc.”

Please help me. If you need additional info i will try to provide it. Thank you in advance.

    :)

    Blue screen and stop code

    Hi
    Jeferis,

There are a lot of factors for this matter to occur. To isolate the issue, we have some questions for you:

    • What activity have you done to
trigger the NTFS and FAT FILE SYS loop?

    • were there any error messages?

    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    It is possible that the
    Boot
Sequence were corrupted by the previous activity which
triggered the Blue Screen Error and the loop. We recommend that you perform these
    suggested troubleshooting
and see if there are any changes:

    Startup Repair.

    To access the
Startup Repair Screen, turn off the
    PC 3-4 times(force shutdown),
while on the Blue screen Error. This will route you to the
    Startup repair screen:

Advanced Boot Options > click Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Command Prompt

    and run the following command:

    Run SFC Scan:

    SFC
    will
    scan
    and
    run
    an
    automatic repair
    to any
    corrupted system files
that it will detect. We suggest that you perform it twice. To run an
    SFC scan, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type
      sfc /scannow
      and hit
      Enter.

    Boot Record:

This will fix the corruptions on
    boot records or boot
sequence. To run this command, follow these steps:

    • Run
      Command Prompt as Administrator.

    • Type the following command:

      • Bootrec /fixMBR

      • Bootrec /fixBoot

      • Bootrec /rebuildBCD

Update us on how it goes.

    Regards.

  3. BLUE SCREEN,COULDN'T repair PC

    Hi Abdurachmanov,

Thank you for posting on Microsoft Community.

We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you. We will help you in resolving your issue.

Before assisting further, I would like to ask you few questions regarding the query:

    • What was the error message displayed before?
    • Did you get any error code?

Reboot your PC and check if you are facing similar issue.

If the issue persist, I suggest you to re-perform startup repair from the Windows 10 installation disk by following the steps below.

Startup Repair is a Windows Recovery tool that can fix certain system problems that might prevent Windows from starting. Startup Repair scans your computer for the problem, and then tries to fix it so your computer can start correctly.

Startup Repair is one of the recovery tools in the System Recovery Options menu. This set of tools is located on your computer’s hard disk, and on the Windows Installation disc.

If you are on Windows 10, I suggest you to repair your computer by creating a Windows 10 Bootable media (i.e. USB or DVD) using
Media Creation Tool. Once you're ready with Bootable Media, follow the below mentioned
    steps.

    • Insert the Windows installation disc in the disc drive or connect USB media and then start the computer.
    • Press a key when the message Press any key to boot from CD or DVD appears.

If your PC does not detect the media automatically
      • During the restart process, read the screen for any instructions that explain how to interrupt normal startup and enter the basic input/output system (BIOS) setup utility. Most PCs use the F2, F10, ESC, or DEL key to begin the BIOS Setup.
      • Look for a tab in the BIOS Setup Utility that is labeled Boot Order,
Boot Options, or Boot. Following the directions on the screen, use the arrow keys to go to the
        Boot Order, then press Enter.
      • Locate the CD, DVD, or USB flash drive (this might be called Removable Device) in the Boot list. Following the directions on the screen, use the arrow keys to move the drive up so that it appears first in the Boot list. Press
Enter. The boot order sequence is now changed to boot from the CD, DVD, or USB flash drive.
      • Press F10 to save your changes and to exit the BIOS Setup Utility. Select
Yes in the confirmation window. The PC will restart. Allow the PC to restart normally. The scan will take a few minutes and remove any malware that may be infecting your computer.
    • Select a language, a time, a currency, a keyboard or another input method, and then click
      Next.
    • Click Repair your computer.
    • Click the operating system that you want to repair and then click
      Next
      .
    • On the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot. Select
Advanced options from the window and click on Startup repair
      option.
If the issue persist, I suggest you to perform System Restore
under Advanced Options and follow with onscreen instruction to repair your computer.

    Hope this helps!
