  1. Computer Resets on game loading screens

Hi all, this is the first time I have not been able to debug an issue. A few weeks ago, my computer stable since building 6 months ago started restarting screen black, computer off, then restarts periodically when I was in a loading screen for a game; call of duty, fortnite, iracing, etc. Sometimes it would happen, othertimes not. I have not found a consistent way to reproduce the error.

First, I tried to update nvidia drivers, clear paging file, adjust power settings, etc. but nothing helped.

Next, I cleared CMOS, flashed the bios on both the CPU and GPU, and this did not help.

So, next, I formatted my drive, reinstalled windows from recovery media, then only installed graphics drivers and fortnite. The issue persisted. So it does not seem to be software related.

So, I borrowed my roomates 2080ti and put it into my case. The computer crashed on first loading screen - not it.

Also, this happens regardless if i am plugged in to the GPU or motherboard.

Now, I am out of ideas to try. I monitor my CPU and GPU temps and they never get above 65 even on the loading screens. My fans hardly run. Although I have noticed it does seem like the fans will increase as they usually do in loading screens or on entry into the game and then the computer will crash.

The odd part is, I have run numerous benchmarks and stress tests Heaven, Burn in Test, on full load and the computer never crashes. Also, in the Advanced System Settings I have set "Restart Automatically" to false. However, the computer still restarts automatically.

To me, this seems power related. I did not change any hardware or software prior to the issue starting. I am out of ideas and cannot debug the issue. Even the windows logs only show "An unexpected Shutdown occured" with no additional detail. It seems like some kind of "circuit breaker" type emergency shutdown, but I cannot figure out how to isolate or reproduce it.

I've also tried disabling all the sound drivers, that did not help.

I guess my main question is how can i debug the issue from within Windows?

    :)

  3. Ultimate Word Games stuck "Loading"

    Hi Ed,

Being unable to load the Microsoft Ultimate Word Games is may be due to several factors. It is a possible connection issue or the games are incompletely installed.

To resolve your concern, we suggest that you perform the following solutions on your computer to resolve the issue:

Solution 1. Run the Windows App Troubleshooter on your computer.

    Go to this
    link
    and click on Run troubleshooter.

    Solution 2. Reset Windows Store.

Reset the Windows Store to clear store cache by following the steps below:

    • Press Windows key + X on your keyboard.
    • Click on Command prompt (Admin).
    • Type wsreset.exe, and then hit Enter.

    Solution 3. Restart your computer.

Restarting your Windows 10 device resets anything running in the memory that can cause the game to freeze or stop responding. To restart your Windows 10 device, complete the following steps:

    • Press the Windows button on your device or keyboard, or select the Windows icon from
the bottom-left corner of the main screen.
    • Select Power, and then select Restart.

Keep us updated with the results after performing the solutions above.

  4. Computer Resets on game loading screens

    Pre-loaded games won't uninstall

I'm not really into some of the games that were pre-loaded into my PC but when I try to bring up the games from the Start menu and click on 'uninstall' it takes me to the control panel, and I don't see the games listed there for me to uninstall. Suggestions, please? Thanks! ~P
