    Preparing automtic repair - Inaccessible boot system


    Hi there, I turn my laptop on, a blue screen comes up and it says "inaccessible boot" and then it gets stuck on "preparing automatic repair" with no loading wheel. What shall I do?

    This is a Microsoft link on inaccessible boot device:

    It is an intermediate level link.
    There are more advanced steps that can be ran once the partition structure is known.
    There are steps for repair of the boot sector, operating system, etc.
    Sometimes this bugcheck can be caused by windows updates.

    A reset save files equivalent may be able to be performed.
    Alternatively a clean install can be performed once important files are backed up.

    hi

    on the point 1 why should I boot from windows 8.1 CD/DVD ?

    this problem is with windows 10 .

    the error I get when I boot the system is

    inaccessible boot device
    I followed the steps to run a repair ,,, and after finishing all the steps of repair the computer restart automatically and the same blue screen with the same error . I think theres no way at all to solve this problem .

    Windows 10 Inaccessible Boot Device, Freeze at Preparing Automatic Repair

    Hi.

    My Windows 10 is working fine. Recently, my Windows 10 had received automatic updates from Microsoft. I Update and Shut Down my computer. After the updates were successfully installed, the computer shut down. When I opened/turned on the computer, I left
    the computer as it continued to install the updates. When I came back, I saw the computer was on Preparing Automatic Repair. I wait for about an hour but nothing happened. I press and hold Shut Down button to force it to shut down. Then, when I turned on it
    again, I got Blue Screen saying INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE. Then, it went to Preparing Automatic Repair but nothing happened, it stuck at the process.
