  1. How to cut email text and paste it to Word doc

My first note is for the page designers who, in the name of Microsoft, put before the public this rudimentary, confusing, and unattractive reception area to the online equivalent of the help desk of a multinational corporation.

Delete the tiny word "subject"; put the command "Ask a Question" above the text box where the typing goes. If you want questions reduced to key words or topics, say so in instructions and post an example.

I was baffled by the word "details" next to warning about scams. Was this site meant to report hacks, scams and fraud--like the Federal Trade Commission website--or a user's ordinary problems.

I recommend hiring a copy editor. A veteran science teacher accustomed to writing lab instructions would do a great job.

My question: I cut two paragraphs that I'd written out of a gmail email, then pasted the text onto a new blank Word page made from a Word template.Below and continued adding paragraphs below the introductory section. Now I can't change any aspect of text lifted from email; it's frozen on page. Text typed directly onto fresh Word page--beneath copied email--can be revised as normal. How can I lift/transfer/recover/repurpose gmail posts and replies quickly and completely. My work is not collaborative. I do not give access to draft texts to other readers.

    :)

    Cutting and pasting in word

When I cut text in word it is not there when I want to paste it. I can copy and paste but then need to go back and delete the text I've just copied. I've had windows 10 since April and I'm sure I've been able to do it before but I can't today. I've gone through the advanced options but can't seem to find anything which applied to cut and paste. Help.

  3. sentence format in cut and paste

When pasting from nonword doc to word doc the sentence tabs default to cut doc meaning I have to adjust each sentence. I know there must be a way to reformat entire paste text so sentence tabs are same as my MS word defaults but I can't find it. Please
help me before I jump out the window.

sentence format in cut and paste

What exactly is a "Sentence tab"?

To illustrate your problem, please use snippingtool.exe to create a snapshot of your Word text. Save the snapshot to your desktop, then attach it to your reply.
