Access shared folder on remote comp.with "net share" via VPN and IPv6?

In the past I mount a remote shared folder as drive W: in my local Windows Explorer with
    a command similar to:

    net use w: \\192.168.0.21\myshare /persistent:no

This works successfully on a IPv4 connection.

    At first:
Which remote port does the "net share" command (implicitely) connect to on remote server?

Can I use the same command through a VPN and IPv4 connection as well?

Can I use the same command (with IPv6) address for an IPv6 command as well?
    Example:

    net use w: \\<IPv6 address>\myshare /persistent:no

    Peter

    :)

Shared folders not accessable using file folder sharing after update?

Is there a reason you have ... NetBIOS over Tcpip Enabled: No .. It should be set to default.

    Check your IPv4 settings ...
Control Panel > Network and Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings Right Click on your network connection > Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 TCP/IPv4 > Properties > General > Advanced

    I see you have IPv6 setup ...

Does your ISP support IPv6 and do you actually use it ?

If not you can Disable IPv6 - Enable or Disable IPv6 in Windows | Windows 10 Tutorials

If it does and you want to use it ... you might want to check your router and make sure the IPv6 is setup correctly.

    Note:
    1. My ISP does support IPv6 and I have it setup in my router.
I use Googles DNS Servers for both.
The Google Public DNS IP addresses (IPv4) are as follows:

    • 8.8.8.8
    • 8.8.4.4
The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows:

    • 2001:4860:4860::8888
    • 2001:4860:4860::8844

    2. On my Netgear router for IP Assignment ... I have to use Auto Config vs Use DHCP Server so that my actual IPv6 address isn't shown (which can reveal unwanted information) and it uses a Temporary IPv6 address. You can check your IPv6 here - Test your IPv6.

How to stop sharing folder for windows 10?

Referring to following link, I would like to know on how to stop sharing folder for windows 10.

I cannot find Stop Sharing option on step 5.

Use these steps to stop sharing any folder on Windows 10:

    1. Open Start.
    2. Search for Computer Management and click the top result to open the experience.
    3. Expand the Shared Folders branch from the left pane.
    4. Click the Shares item.
    5. Right-click the folder that you no longer want to share and the Stop Sharing option.
Furthermore, ADMIN$ is found to be Remote Admin under computer management.

There is no option to stop it as well.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to stop sharing and remote?

Thanks in advance for any suggestions
