How to access data usage for custom range on already existing data usage on Windows 10?

I have data usage logged on my Windows 10 laptop at:

Windows Settings → Network & Internet → Data Usage.

How to access data usage for custom range on already existing data usage on Windows 10? a0a60cb9-f09c-4abe-854f-545c02cb2b75?upload=true.png

What I'm trying to do is instead of getting data usage for the last 30 days, I want to get data usage for custom time range.

    e.g. from 15-Mar to 3-April.

Other important thing, I don't want to use a solution that neglects the preexisting data usage log. I've tried many applications that neglects any before-installation logged data usage.

Something like this is possible on Android by application calledGlasswire which reads and calculates data usage based on already preexisting data usage log provided by Android system.

I've tried theWindows version of Glasswire, unfortunately it seems to be depending on monitoring the network activity from the time Glasswire was installed like many apps I have tried and any previous data usage isn't added to calculations, unlike its android version which reads the preexisting data usage log.

One of the solutions I think about is to access the place where detailed temporal information about internet data usage is stored may be a system file, or a Registry entry. I don't know how can I find this if someone can help.

    :)

    Data usage on Windows 10

THE ANSWER YOU HAVE ALL BEEN WANTING

Windows 10 includes a feature to let you view the network data usage of the PC from the last 30 days. The data usage is itemized per type of network (ex: Wi-Fi or Ethernet), and by app usage.

Kindly follow the below steps to reset network data usage back to "ZERO ZERO ZERO ZERO" as needed in Windows 10.

Note: You must be signed in as an administrator to be able to reset network data usage.

    • Temporarily disable your active network adapter(s), or start Windows into safe mode.
    • Open File Explorer, browse to the C:\Windows\System32\sru folder, and open it.
    • Delete all contents inside the sru folder.
    • Enable your active network adapter(s) again, or start Windows back into normal mode.

This will reset all COUNTERS, I suggest copy pasting the directions into a wordpad doc or the like and keep for whenever you wish to reset manually.

Only counters I used in Windows 7, were the right click properties of my network device. Disconnection of the device deleted all of that sessions counter data, and CC Cleaner was used to clean all cache files from windows etc.
