What is this little bubble which pops up?

Since last update I am experiencing a small bubble shape which pops up at odd times.
If the cursor goes on it then it immediately disappears.
    But what is it?

    (can't get a screen shot)

  2. Little bubbles appearing in vertical line on screen

    Hi Bill,

These little bubbles make me wonder where they came from.

Can you still remember when did this start to happen? Were there any recent changes made before these little bubbles started to appear?

Do you think you'll be able to perform troubleshooting on your PC from your Desktop, or totally not?

In the meantime, let's boot your PC into Safe Mode and see if the little bubbles will still appear.

Starting your PC in Safe Mode can help you troubleshoot problems on your PC while using a limited set of files and drivers. Here's how to set your PC in
    Safe Mode:

    • Press the Windows + I key from the keyboard to launch
      Settings.
    • Select Update & Security, then Recovery.
    • Click the Restart now button under Advanced startup.
    • Select Troubleshoot when you get into the Choose an option screen.
    • Select Advanced options, then Startup Settings.
    • Click Restart.
    • Select 4 or press the F4 key from the keyboard after your PC restarts to start your PC now in
      Safe Mode.

If the little bubbles doesn't appear, you may consider running the SFC and DISM scans to repair missing or corrupted system files:

    • DISM or System Update Readiness tool

The DISM or Deployment Image Servicing and Management can help you fix some Windows corruption errors as well.
    • System File Checker

The System File Checker or SFC is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore these corrupted files.
    • Open an elevated command prompt. To do this, type Command Prompt in the
Cortana search box, right-click Command Prompt, and then click
Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click
      Allow.
    • Type the following command, and then press Enter. It may take several minutes for the command operation to be completed.

      DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth

Important: When you run this command, DISM uses Windows Update to provide the files that are required to fix corruptions. However, if your Windows Update client is already broken, use a running Windows installation as the repair
source, or use a Windows side-by-side folder from a network share or from a removable media, such as the Windows DVD, as the source of the files. To do this, run the following command instead:

      DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess

Note: Replace the C:\RepairSource\Windows placeholder with the location of your repair source. For more information about using the DISM tool to repair Windows, reference Repair a Windows Image.
    • Type the following command and press Enter.

It may take several minutes for the command operation to be completed.

      sfc /scannow
    • Close the command prompt.

DISM creates a log file (%windir%/Logs/CBS/CBS.log) that captures any issues that the tool found or fixed. %windir% is the folder in which Windows is installed. For example, the %windir% folder is C:\Windows.

I know these steps are pretty long, but let me know how it goes.

    Regards.

Ghostly bubbles flashing since Windows 10

My computer is 10 days old and I started getting the bubbles after an update on Wednesday. The bubbles occur after I close the lid and reopen it and makes my computer unusable for 10-60 minutes. I do not want to disable the touchscreen. I tried step 1
above to no avail. I will try step 2 once the bubbles hopefully subside. I tried uploading a video of the problem, but was unable to do so. Any other suggestions?

What is this little bubble which pops up?

    Texting bubble on my Kin

What do you mean by a bubble? If you hold down the text entry field (the little box on the screen where the letters pop up when you type) a magnified version of your message comes up and you can drag the cursor to where you want to edit the text. or
are you talking about the speech bubble notification that comes up when you get a text?
