Windows 10: Network and internet not working

Hello, my wifi is not working. I troubleshooted it and the network adapter is not properly installed. So i went to device manager and on the network adapters there were only WLAN-s. So i clicked show hidden devices and Bluetooth Device Personal Area Network, IntelR Dual Band Wireless-N 7265, Microsoft Wi-Fi direct virtal adapter and adapter #2. Their icons are faded blue colour. When i clicked on their properties it says “Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computercode 45. To fix this problem, reconnect this hardware device to the computer. I googled and tried to fix it with sfc/scannow command promt command but it said there is nothing wrong. Also in the device manager when i click show hidden devices microsoft kernel debug network adapter appears and its normal blue colour and it says its working properly but its only shown after i clicked show hidden devices

• Is the router detected under Device Manager?
  
• Does the issue happen on a specific device or with all of your devices?
  
• Have you tried power cycling your device?

• On the Start menu, type Troubleshooting.
  
• Choose Network and Internet troubleshooter.
  
• Run the Internet Connections and Network Adapter troubleshooter.

this hard drive is not connected to my computer, it is connected to my wireless router.

after scanning for hardware changes as you suggested in step one, there is no usb hard drive
listed on my computer, either in the device manager, or in the network list in file manager which includes both computers connected to the router. this computer is recognizing the router, internet, and other computers connected to the router.
it is not recognizing the hard drive connected tot he wireless router.

I checked my wireless router to see if the usb hard drive is discoverable and verified that it is.
